Emily Bridgers takes the Atlantic Regional title

Emily Bridgers placed inside the top 10 over the entire weekend to lock up the top spot for the Atlantic Regional to make it back to the CrossFit games.
After two 1st place finishes on day one, Bridgers was leading right from the beginning and took another 1st place finish in event 6 to keep ahead of the chasing pack.
It was a tight race for the final 4 places with Anna Tunicliffe securing 2nd place with one even win in event 5.
Meg Reardon and Christy Adkins fought it out for 3rd and 4th place with Reardon finishing 3rd, and Adkins 4th. Both women had some very impressive events finishing inside the top 3 but each had a single relatively poor finish outside of the top 20.

Alea Helmick took the final spot for the 2016 CrossFit games with Cassidy Lance missing out on a place by just 7 points.

Athlete fails to make it 6 CrossFit games appearances

The California regional wrapped up with an mainstay in the CrossFit games failing to make it into the top 5 places.
Dan Bailey was unable to make it 6 straight games appearances after a tough weekend in California.
Although Bailey finished inside the top 10 for each event, it still wasn't enough to fend off the tough competition at the California regional this year.
The top spot was occupied by a resurgent Josh Bridges who dominated the competition this year, after failing to make it to the CrossFit games in 2015.
Rasmus Wisbech Andersen, Marcus Filly, Christian Lucero and Garrettt Fischer were able to book their places in a tight contest for the remaining 4 spots.
There was also high drama on the women's side with Brooke Ence failing to book her spot to the 2016 CrossFit games, while Lauren Fischer took the top spot after a very impressive weekend.
Rebecca Voigt unbelievably made it into 2nd place, meaning she has qualified for the CrossFit games every year since 2008; Something no other female athlete has ever done.
Alessandra Pichelli, Chyna Cho and Jamie Hagiya all occupied the remaining 3 spots with only 10 points separating them all.
